One of our highest priorities is the health, safety, and security of our guests, team members, and business partners. COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way we live, and we are adjusting our daily operations to fit within the new normal. In response to this, we and a team of experts have reviewed our existing health and safety processes and developed a new safety protocol. This in-depth cleanliness and disinfection protocol was created in partnership with SGS and is designed to ensure your safety and peace of mind from check-in to check-out. Safety Protocols update
Face Coverings and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- To help protect the health and safety of our guests, team members, and visitors, we require the use of face coverings in indoor public spaces (areas) in all hotels, pending local regulations. *For those children under the age of two or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance, face masks are not mandated.
- In hotels located in selected countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, team members are mandated to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where locally required.
What are the new protocols?
Our hotels’ 20-step cleaning and safety protocol

1. Physical distancing
Implement physical distancing measures throughout the hotel.

2. Increase cleaning and disinfecting
Increase cleaning and disinfecting frequency throughout the hotel, paying attention to high-touch items.

3. Air circulation
Improve air circulation processes to increase air quality.

4. Protective barrier
Install protective screens at the front desk.

5. Sanitizing stations
Install alcohol-based hand sanitizing and glove stations near the front entrance and public areas.

6. Disinfect key cards
Provide clean and disinfected key cards upon check-in.

7. Door hangers
Display door hanger with cleaning and disinfecting information.

8. Travel-size hand sanitizer
Provide each guest room with a travel-size hand sanitizer.

9. TV remote
Provide a clean and disinfected TV remote in an individually sealed and protective bag.

10. Linens
Wash all linens at a high temperature for optimal disinfection.

11. Pool and other wellness areas
Provide sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in our fitness and wellness centers.

12. Express check-out
Provide an express check-out process to minimize contact with team members.

13. Methods of payment
Offer cash-free methods of payment.

14. Grab and go
Offer individually packaged and other grab-and-go food options.

15. Bars and restaurants
Space tables apart in restaurants and bars to provide physical distancing.

16. Food safety
Adhere to the strict safety procedures while serving all food and beverages.

17. Minibar
Lock or remove all minibars.

18. Team training
Provide team members with comprehensive hygiene and prevention training program.

19. Team member temperature checks
Administer temperature checks for team members and suppliers, when legally permitted or required.

20. Team member PPE
Provide team members with personal protective equipment.
Our hotels’ 10-step cleaning and safety protocol for Meetings & Events

1. Personal belongings
Ensure the safe handling of personal belongings in designated areas.

2. Sanitizing stations
Install stations with alcohol-based hand sanitizer and gloves in hotel public areas and meeting and event spaces.

3. Increase cleaning and disinfecting
Increase cleaning and disinfection frequency of all hotel areas, paying special attention to high-touch items.

4. Air circulation
Improve air circulation processes to increase air quality.

5. Door hangers
Display door hanger with cleaning and disinfecting information in each meeting room.

6. Disinfect box
Place a “disinfect box" in meeting rooms for used stationary items and disinfect them after events.

7. Physical distancing
Ensure physical distancing in meeting and event facilities.

8. Event manager contact
Ensure your hotel event manager is available for contact directly through your own device, to assist with your requests during the event.

9. Food safety
Adhere to the strict safety procedures while serving all food and beverages.

10. Coffee machines
Frequently clean and disinfect coffee machines.
Rapid onsite COVID-19 testing for meeting & event attendees
What we provide

How it works:
Prior to the event

1. Booking the rapid COVID-19 test
Rapid COVID-19 tests can be booked together with your meeting package. Please allow a minimum of three weeks prior to the day of arrival to organize the local setup. Our team will include this service in your event proposal and will provide you with all further details.

2. Supporting information
Upon confirming the event, we will provide supporting information and materials to share with your attendees about the test.
On-site

3. A safe arrival
We will welcome your guests in a dedicated, safe area, ensuring physical distancing.

4. Administering the test
Up to 20 attendees can be tested in one hour; for larger groups our healthcare partner can foresee additional staff for optimal planning and to minimize waiting time.

5. Secure waiting room
After administering the test, guests will be asked to wait for the results in a separate, secure waiting room. Results are returned in just 15 to maximum 30 minutes.

6. If attendees test negative
Guests who test negative are shown by our teams to the event room where they can continue to work, network and prepare for the event.

7. If attendees test positive
If any guest tests positive, our existing safety protocols will be activated, in line with our processes and local laws and legislation and affected persons will be directed to confirm the result with a PCR test, as instructed by the test provider and the ECDC.

• This service is currently available at selected Radisson Hotels in: Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and Turkey.

Physical distancing in all areas of the resort including in:

Implementing physical distancing measures in beach, pool, and other wellness areas.

Implementing physical distancing measures in specific resort facilities, such as changing rooms.

Increased cleaning and disinfecting

Increasing cleaning and disinfection frequency throughout the premises, with a special focus on recreational and relaxation areas.

Increasing cleaning and disinfecting frequency of Kids Clubs, paying attention to high-touch items.
Air circulation

Improving air circulation processes in our spa and wellness areas.
Sanitizing stations and disinfectant wipes

Installing alcohol-based hand sanitizing stations throughout the premises.

Cleaning & Disinfection
Radisson Hotel Group’s enhanced cleaning and disinfection guidelines have been developed in collaboration with Diversey, a global hygiene solutions provider, by uniting best-in-class cleaning and hygiene solutions with reinforced protocols and patented technology designed for healthcare.
Hotels that have been validated by SGS during their certification for the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol generally use hospital-grade cleaning products and have been advised to follow enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures in all areas of the hotel, as illustrated below.
Guest room

Guest room high-touch items are thoroughly cleaned daily and disinfected after each check-out. Included as a minimum:
- AC controller
- Armchairs’ armrest
- Coffee machine
- Door handles
- Furniture handles
- Lamps and all light switches
- Minibars (locked)
- Phone TV remote
- Room accessories (kettles, iron, hairdryer)
- Switches
- Tabletops
- Safe

Reception and lobby

Reception and lobby high-touch items are disinfected every 4 hours. The reception counter and credit card machines are disinfected after every guest. All room keycards are disinfected before being handed to the guest. The following are included as a minimum:

- Pens
- Telephone
- Room key card
