More about Vilnius

A clean and green city, the Lithuanian capital is the perfect destination to inspire fresh ideas and make new connections.

Vilnius is a compact city where major meeting facilities, hotels, and important city sights are all within walking distance. Delegates will be charmed by Vilnius’ Old Town, which is among the largest in Eastern and Central Europe and on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Perfectly located for both international and domestic business meetings

Lying at the crossroads of east and west, Vilnius is never more than three hours away from any European destination by air. Vilnius International Airport is situated a short transfer away from the city center and is a hub of 15 airlines flying to over 92 destinations with direct connections to major European cities including Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Rome, Paris, and Zurich. Getting to and from the airport is easy. Take a taxi or a bus and you'll be in the center of Vilnius within 15 minutes; hop on a train and it takes just seven minutes.

Things to do with your group

  • Wander through the Old Town and admire the beautiful buildings, picturesque churches, and elegant palaces.
  • Visit Vilnius Cathedral, which holds many notable artworks from the 14th-19th centuries. Don’t miss the recently discovered frescoes in the underground chapel and the famous Sapiega Madonna.
  • Get a bird’s eye view of the city on a hot air balloon flight. Vilnius is one of the few capitals in the world that allows hot air balloons to take off in the city center and fly over it.
  • Get an insight into Lithuania’s history at the Museum of Occupation and Freedom Fights. Housed in a former KGB building, it chronicles the Nazi and Soviet occupations.
  • Explore the fairytale-like Trakai Island Castle, which stands on Lake Galvė in the picturesque town of Trakai, 25 kilometers outside Vilnius.
