If you’re looking for a cultural event to tick all the boxes, King’s Day, the annual giant street party celebrated on April 27th, is the day for you. Dress up in orange and take to the streets. Dance, walk, drink, or eat; it’s up to you. If you believe in ‘the night is young’, don’t miss out on the nightlife on the eve of King’s Day. Indulge in sensuous cocktails while dancing to your heart’s content.  
 
Explore vrijmarkt, stalls set up on the day by Amsterdammers; haggle over previously loved treasures or hunt the streets for tasty treats. Why not try deep-fried bitterballen, crispy balls served with mustard? Or if you are after something sweet, go for fluffy, powdery poffertjes, or scrumptious stroopwafels.

Seville, Spain

Given the mild temperatures, Dubai is an ideal destination for your vacation in April. Take part in the traditional and lavish Iftar buffets, a fast-breaking meal that’s enjoyed at sunset during Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, observed in Dubai. Indulge in mouthwatering shorba (soup) and freshly-made fattoush (vegetable salad).
 
In search of your own Arabian treasure? Head to one of the souks and stroll among the luxurious jewelry, traditional perfumes and rich sacks of herbs and spices. If you’re lucky, you may get the chance to decorate your body with traditional, intricate Arabic henna body art, made by local henna artists.

Brussels, Belgium

Finally, if you’re still wondering where to go in April, look no further than Brussels. Craving their renowned chocolate? Visit a chocolate boutique and indulge in delights to die for! Whether you have a soft spot for richly flavored pralines or aromatic caramels, Brussels invites you to lose yourself in its fineness and elevated delicacy. If you’re searching for something off the beaten track, follow the city’s comic strip route and embark on your own urban adventure. You will encounter loved characters, such as Tintin while walking and uncovering the city’s secret corners. 
 
Looking for a dreamy forest to take that Instagram-worthy selfie? Hallerbos forest, just 30 minutes away from Brussels, with myriad deep violet flowers, will summon you to walk its paths.
