Fighter Combat International hire the very best pilots the world has to offer in order to provide the true-to-life aviation adventure in the safest conditions. The pilots are committed to providing excellent customer service, as well an adventurous atmosphere at altitude.The air combat school has a hangar full of world-class unlimited aerobatic aircraft; a fleet of German-built "Extra 300Ls." Extras are used by top aerobatic and air show performers around the world, and have an excellent reputation as a commercial dogfighting machine. The Extra is stressed to +/- 10G's, has a roll rate of 360° per second, and a climb rate in excess of 3200 fpm making it one of the safest and capable aircraft in the sky.
For realism, they are specially equipped with integrated projected gun-sights, smoke generators, and combat sound cards to provide true-to-life effects!
Whether flying aerial maneuvers or simulating combat in the sky, you're sure to create magical memories at this air school. Those memories will be captured by an onboard audio and video system that records all the exciting sights and sounds of a flight. On completion, you'll receive a digital memory drive with photos and video from the perspective of your view in the cockpit, making a fantastic memento of your thrilling maneuvers on your day in the sky that you'll treasure forever. Their headquarters are based on a 25,000 square foot facility on the north flight line of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (KIWA).
The school is open Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year and typical hours of operation are from 7:30 am to 15:30 pm, although these hours change for the summer months. The on-site facilities are custom designed for the perfect customer experience. The main lounge is themed to parallel the high-tech fighter squadron atmosphere typical of elite NATO forces worldwide, giving that authentic experience for fliers. Enjoy panoramic views of the airport's three 10,000 foot runways and the Superstition Springs Mountains before and after you fly in this welcoming complex.
