The Vigeland Museum is dedicated to the life work of Norwegian sculptor, Gustav Vigeland, who donated his artwork to the municipality. Inside the museum, explore 1,600 sculptures, thousands of drawings, and hundreds of woodcuts. In addition to this permanent collection, the museum also hosts a variety of different events and temporary exhibits, from paintings to mixed media artwork. You won't want to miss it!

A cultural walk through the Vigeland Park

The Vigeland sculpture park is located inside the larger Frogner Park. It's the largest sculpture park in the world made by a single artist and is a well-known tourist hot spot. Marvel at over 200 impressive and intricate works in bronze, granite, and wrought iron. The sculptures are integral to the park's architecture and layout, dotted along pedestals, stairways, and fountains. A visit to the park is free year-round and is the perfect place to explore on a sunny day in Oslo.
