Radisson Hotel Group celebrates UN World Tourism Day: Building an inclusive and responsible future

Tourism has the power to uplift entire communities—and at Radisson Hotel Group, we believe that inclusion is the foundation of meaningful impact. Our commitment goes far beyond charity; it’s about creating shared value and long-term transformation.

In 2024, RHG donated €1.25 million and contributed over 57,000 volunteer hours to causes that matter, both locally and globally. These efforts reflect a collective spirit of care and responsibility that runs through our hotels and offices worldwide.

Through partnerships with organizations like Just a Drop, we’ve helped provide 32,000 people with access to clean drinking water, an essential step toward dignity and health. Meanwhile, initiatives such as Soap for Hope and linen upcycling empower local women, turning waste into opportunity and fostering economic independence.

This commitment to inclusion also takes shape in Beirut, where we partner with a university to support the employment of 130 people with disabilities, helping them access meaningful jobs and integrate into the workforce. In the Philippines, our hotel Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA launched a long-term training program for female inmates at Quezon City Jail. One of them, Marissa Basa, is now employed as a Housekeeping Attendant—proof that hospitality can offer second chances and restore hope.

In India Radisson Hotel Group and its partners expand the program to skill and place over 300 youth from underserved regions into hospitality jobs across India, including Radisson hotels. The first phase achieved gender equality with 54% women being placed.

Together, these actions form a powerful narrative: when tourism includes everyone, it becomes a force for belonging, empowerment, and lasting change.

This spirit comes alive during Action Month, now in its 21st edition, a powerful movement where our hotels and offices across the globe mobilize to make a tangible difference in their communities. From volunteering in local shelters to organizing fundraising events and educational outreach, our teams demonstrate that hospitality goes far beyond service—it’s a force for solidarity and social impact. Last year alone, thousands of team members participated, creating ripple effects of kindness and support.

RHG's commitment to sustainable development is integrated into every customer’s experience. 58% of its portfolio is certified “Sustainable Stays,” meaning it is certified by an eco-label or has undergone Hotel Sustainability Basics verification. Currently, 214 hotels are HSB verified, which confirms that they meet a globally recognized set of essential sustainability criteria for hotels. RHG ensures that tourism benefits both people and the planet.

Our Move to Zero campaign and Net Zero by 2050 roadmap guide us toward a nature-positive future. This ambition is now embodied by two RHG hotels officially Verified Net Zero, setting a new benchmark for the industry.

From carbon compensated meetings to low-carbon menus and bulk amenity dispensers, we are reimagining hospitality as a regenerative force where every guest experience contributes to a healthier world.
