It's hard to determine whether the food's brilliance is due to its environmentally friendly origins or its exquisite presentation, but whatever it is, it's certainly effective. Block House

Anyone who thinks you can't find a good steak house outside the American Deep South should pay a visit to Bockenheim's trademark steak restaurant, Block House. From the simple patio garden amidst soaring skyscrapers to the rough-and-ready dishes on the menu, there's nothing pretentious about Block House - it just serves great steak. Select from over five different cuts, ranging from a 12oz rib eye mastercut to the slimline fillet mignon, add one of their hearty side dishes (the baked potato, heaped with sour cream, is especially good), and expect nothing less than perfection.

La Boveda

The cavernous underground dining area of La Boveda (or "The Vault", in Spanish), has become a favourite haunt of locals and travellers alike. On some evenings you can watch live flamenco dancers perform captivating shows in the atmospheric chamber, as you choose from a selection of fiery tapas and traditional Spanish paella dishes. The chorizo is delicious, but don't leave without indulging in some delicious fresh crab or turbot from the seafood showcase by the bar.
