The Wonder Of Parisian Food Markets

Paris is well known for its quality cuisine and boasts an incredible number of food markets to see while you visit this beautiful city.

In the shadow of the must-see Eiffel Tower lies Marché Saxe-Breteuil, open every Thursday and Saturday from 7am to 3pm. Although prices are higher than at the standard food markets, the products on offer at Raspail organic market are made to high organic standards.

A short stroll from the beautiful Jardin des Plantes is Marché Mouffetard. This narrow street is host to a number of stalls and shops selling vegetables, fruit, flowers and take away food, open every morning except Monday. Visitors to Marché Mouffetard will be spoiled with a delicious selection of pate, patisseries and cheese, much of which is organic.

At pretty Place Monge the Marché Mouffetard meets Marché Monge, a small and calm market selling honey, preserves and bread as well as jewelry and textiles.
