The Cardiff Festival is celebrating its 30th birthday this year, and everyone's invited to the party. Making summer in the city even more spectacular, the Festival runs all the way from 1 June to 30 September.

The latest addition to Britain's summer festival calendar, X Music Festival will be held in Cardiff's gorgeous Bute Park. 30,000 revellers are expected to attend the premier year of what will soon be one of Cardiff's most iconic music events. Weekend tickets start at £44.90, with VIP tickets available at £59.90. Confirmed performers include renowned Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, American rapper Ja Rule and UK Dance Chart-topper Sub Focus.

Cardiff's Welsh language festival is a celebration of Welsh culture, encouraging people to use the Welsh language outside work and school. Comedy shows and gigs will be taking place throughout the week, but the highlight of the festival is the two-day long Tafwyl Fair, which for 2015 will run from 4-5 July. The fair will be held just outside the iconic Cardiff Castle in Bute Park. Expect stalls selling delicious local produce, live performances by local pop and acoustic acts, family activities, children's games and workshops covering literature, art, cookery and dance.

Described by last year's attendees as "the best event ever", Pride Cymru is a celebration of equality and diversity. The festivities begin with the colourful Welsh Pride Parade, which marches straight through Cardiff city centre, while the later festival takes over Coopers Field in Bute Park. The main stage is guaranteed to attract some big names, with previous acts including Collabro, Stooshe and the newly reunited Eternal. Throughout the day, you can expect to see some exciting up-and-coming artists, fierce drag queen performances, cheerleaders and local dance troupes. Other attractions include funfair rides, an arts and crafts market, and a tempting array of street food stalls. There will also be a Family Zone for those who are visiting with children, and a social hub for LGBT people looking for advice on the day.
