On the southwest point of Comino is the much-loved Lantern Point. Perfect for beginner and intermediate divers, visitors have the opportunity to swim through limestone tunnels and plateaus to explore the caves and reef walls below. Teaming with wildlife, on a dive at Lantern Point expect to see everything from octopus, to crab, starfish and sponges.

Imperial Eagle

This sunken ferry ship once connected the islands of Malta and Gozo, but today, it's an interesting dive and a great wreck to explore. Located near Qawra Point, this is an easy dive with a depth of about 45 metres. Nearby, you can also discover a 13-tonne statue of Jesus Christ, originally sunk to protect the fisherman of Malta in 1990 and blessed by Pope John Paul II.

Cominotto Reef

Recommended by tourism website Visit Malta, Cominotto is a small island near the coast of Comino with a stunning reef filled with boulders, holes and caverns. Tube worms, soft corals and red sponges add colour and texture to the area, making it the perfect dive to appreciate this rare natural scenery up close and personal.

Santa Maria Caves

The Santa Maria Caves on the north side of Comino are among the most popular dives in Malta because the area provides an interesting landscape for all abilities. Many of the ten caves that make up Santa Maria are interconnected by tunnels, and thanks to their shallow depth are an excellent place to see local wildlife. The fascinating views and opportunities to get so close to the marine creatures that call the caves home have also made Santa Maria one of the most beautiful spots for underwater photography anywhere in Malta.

The Rozi Wreck

Easily accessible from the shore near Cirkewwa, this is another interesting wreck that offers divers the chance to explore underwater marine life. The Rozi tugboat was deliberately sunk in 1991, and today is a hotbed of fish including rainbow wrasse, cardinal fish, sea breams and scorpion fish. Standing totally upright, divers have the unique opportunity to swim through the engine room and wheel house, along with several other interesting spaces to spark your imagination.
