Discover a bird's eye view of Stockholm on a rooftop tour. This unique tour isn't about cheap thrills, instead you'll experience Stockholm from a fresh perspective, taking in the sites as you ramble the rooftops in a harness and helmet. From this vantage point you can see all of the city in just 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the views are far-reaching. “With Stockholm's still quite low skyline, the views are excellent,” says Robin Ringqvist from Takvandring Tours. “On one of our guiding platforms we have a panoramic view covering pretty much all of the city center.” While suitable for all ages, this maybe isn't for you if you're not too fond of heights!

A tiny public bath house nestled under the ancient architecture of Gamla Stan, Storkyrkobadet is a hidden gem. Old-fashioned and unchanged since it was built, this underground vault houses a small, shallow pool and tiny porcelain tubs. Relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of city life at this unorthodox location but please note, the pool is only open from 17:00 until 20:30, Sunday-Friday. The pool also operates separate opening hours for men and women, with men only allowed on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and women allowed on Mondays and Thursdays.

Those who like their history with a side of horror will love the Stockholm Ghost Walk. Telling tales of medieval murders, deadly diseases and supernatural shenanigans, this 90-minute tour of the city's Old Town will excite and entertain. Wander through dark alleys and visit ‘haunted' locations, all the while enjoying the sites of beautiful Stockholm. As this is a walking tour, we recommend you wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather, and while children are more than welcome, they may be subjected to some colorful language.

Did you know the Stockholm subway system is said to be the world's longest art exhibit? At least 90 of Stockholm's 100 subway stations showcase amazing artwork, including sculptures, paintings, mosaics and engravings. With some exhibits dating back to the 1950s as well as more modern installations, these thoughtful and thought-provoking displays are an unexpected and wonderful use of public space. See Stockholm from aboard a gondola on top of the world's largest spherical building at Skyview. Two carriages ascend the Ericsson Globe arena on a specially designed track and offer unrivaled views of the city from 86 meters above the ground. Daniel Stålbo, Marketing and Communications Manager at Skyview, suggests visiting in early spring as the sun is setting “to have a great view of the lights in the city as well as the lights in the sky.”
