Start your day at the ‘golden triangle'; an area of Paris formed where the Champs-Elysées, Avenue Marceau and Avenue Montaigne meet. This spot is known as the home of haute couture, and it's all too easy to lose yourself in the classic glamour of its stylish boutiques.

While waiting for the highly anticipated re-opening of the historic Dior flagship store Avenue Montaigne in 2021, head on to its brand new location. Situated right behind the Radisson Blu Paris, Champs Elysées , discover what makes this french brand so magical. From billowing evening gowns to feminine Lady Dior bags, named in honor of the late Princess Diana who immediately fell in love with them, each purchase includes a little piece of the house's history.

Further along, on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, admire the striking metal walls and emblazoned LV logos that give Louis Vuitton's flagship store its distinctive character. Have your own initials hot stamped onto a handbag by a skilled craftsman on-site, and don't miss the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, a museum on the seventh floor which hosts art exhibitions and other special events.

For classic Parisian styling in the way of simple tailoring and high-quality accessories, look no further than A.P.C. As you would imagine, the store has a fragrance for every taste but whilst here make sure you try Shalimar, a harmonious blend of bergamot, iris and vanilla that is said to capture passionate love and has been a bestseller since 1925. After you've sampled the scents on offer, head downstairs to Le 68, where lauded chef Guy Martin pairs gastronomy with aromatic scents. Sample the fillet of bream with aloe vera, tofu and cucumber marinated in ginger, followed by the irresistible macaron des jardins de Shalimar with clementine and bergamot.

While in Paris, you'll also want to experience french cuisine of course, renowned around the world as an art form. From La Durée on the Champs Elysées to Fauchon on the Madeleine square, Paris offers something exquisite for every foodie. For a unique experience head on to 86Champs, a concept store born from the collaboration of the "Picasso of pastries", Mr Pierre Hermé and the cosmetics brand l'Occitane.
