Golf Courses In & Around Stockholm

Whether you play every weekend or have only just upgraded from courses with windmills and pools, golf is a great way to keep healthy and get some fresh air. Next time you visit Stockholm, make sure you take time out for a round or two on one of these top golf courses.

Malmö may have hosted this year's Scandinavian Masters, but Stockholm has to be the capital of Swedish golf. With about 30 golf courses within a range of only 20km and approximately 50 courses in total, the city has a huge variety of options to keep even the most avid golf enthusiast entertained.

Björklidens has two courses: Bromma Golf and Bodaholm Golf. Bromma Golf has a 9-hole course and a large range, with 80 tee mats for practising your swing out of the way of other golfers. Visitors can also pay & play, which means first-timers can use the putting green, take a lesson or play a round to see how they like the game without committing to membership. This is only available on weekdays, provided that you book on the day and one of your party has a handicap of 54, or better. You can also rent clubs and all the equipment you need on site. Bodaholm Golf has an 18-hole course and offers several coaching options, teaching beginners about both the theory and practical sides of golf. The course fee includes equipment and a game of nine holes with a sponsor at Bromma Golf.

Located 11km from Arlanda Airport, International Golf's name is justified by the world-class standard of its green. Golfers from all over the world travel here to try their luck on the lush grass and natural sand of the course, but the club still maintains a friendly atmosphere. The course is fast, with short distances between the greens and the next tee, so you can easily fit a game into your morning. After your round, enjoy the delicious lunch buffet served in the on-site restaurant, before driving just 15 minutes back to our Radisson Blu Airport Terminal Hotel, Stockholm-Arlanda Airport.

The Huvudstadens Golf Club encompasses several clubs and courses under one name. Non-members can choose between three 18-hole courses: Lindö Park, Lindö Korthålsbana, and Lövsättra, or opt for an even quicker round on the 9-hole green, Vaxholm. Members have the run of a further 15 full-sized courses. The Lindö Kitchen & Bar serves excellent hamburgers and club sandwiches, while the Lövsättra Cafe specialises in light snacks and Swedish salads.

If you want to inspire your kids to be future golfers, head to Sigtuna Golf Club to let them loose on the six-hole course. You can also book a session with pro Fredrik Antblad via the website and support their training with an interactive course that explains the rules of golf. Juniors are also very welcome on the Arlandastad course, where they can warm up on the driving range before setting foot for the first time on an actual course. Slightly older novices should head straight to Top Tee to take advantage of special prices for 22-30 year olds over the summer, available at clubs including International Golf and Brollsta.
