The International Monodrama Festival aims to support young and talented artists and was the natural outcome after a growing interest in theatrical arts in both the UAE and Dibba Al Fujairah. The monodrama, a dramatic piece performed by a single actor, is a genre that the founders, the Dibba Society for Culture, Arts and Theater, felt was lacking in the Arab World, and as such they founded the festival.
