City attractions
Some museums in the city have now reopened including
National Museum Cardiff and
St Fagans National Museum of History with others to follow. A few Cardiff based attractions have now also reopened their doors for visitors to enjoy including
The Royal Mint Experience and the open-air space outside of
Cardiff Castle. For inside attractions, it is mandatory to make reservations in advance before entering and you will be provided with a specific timeslot. Arrows have been placed inside indicating a one-way route, as well as signs showing where you should be standing at a 2- metre distance ensuring a safe visit for all. For more information on opening dates for museums and attractions, please visit
Visit Cardiff.
Restaurants & Shopping
As of 3 August, many restaurants have reopened and are available for guests to enjoy. We would recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment as due to safety protocols, restaurants are only able to accommodate a certain number of guests per lunch or dinner sitting. Our concierge team will be happy to make reservations for you based on your preference upon arrival. Shopping centres including
Queens Arcade, situated in the vibrant city centre and
St David’s Dewi Sant have now also reopened. It is compulsory to wear a face mask in all shops and shopping centres.
Travel situation
Trains coming in and out of Cardiff are now available to be booked, for the latest information please visit

Despite being known for its busy city centre, Cardiff has a number of areas not far away but that feel a million miles away from any city life.
