Indulge in international cuisine in Amsterdam
Dutch with a twist
Carstens Amsterdam is a brasserie with the main focus on quality Dutch products. The menu showcases a long list Dutch ingredients naturally grown on these very shores. Experience the surprising flavours of the Veluwe region as well as the catch of the day from the North Sea. It is, in essence, Dutch with a twist. We are proud to announce Maik Kuijpers as the concept chef, complemented by Timo van der Stad and chef Rick van der Meij with Lindenhoff farm as our supplier. Together, we look forward to delivering culinary excellence to all who dine with us.

Gault & Millau
Carstens received 14 of the maximum 20 points from the renowned Gault & Millau, a beautiful score. Since 1969, Gault & Millau has been an important - and now international - restaurant guide in gastronomy when it comes to quality food and drinks. We are beyond proud of our Carstens team, a milestone in our ongoing journey.
At the end of the 19th century, the industrial revolution began in Amsterdam. The Victoria Hotel was part of this transformation, as a plan to attract affluent tourists from overseas. Victoria Hotel, as you see it today, still retains some of its heritage dating back to the 17th century. Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam has paid homage to two remaining 17th century houses that still exist in their own right along the damrak, now operating as souvenir shops. These two buildings originally housed a tailor and a liquor retailer.
VIC’s BAR takes on a modern approach, showcasing an international cocktail menu, some seasonal bites, a roaring fire with dj sets Friday and Saturday. We pride ourselves on being the perfect escapism from the bustle of the Damrak.
