✨We recently stayed at Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location couldn't be better. The hotel sits directly opposite Amsterdam Central Station, making it easy to explore the city and beyond. Chinatown is just a short walk away, while the main shopping area is around 15 minutes on foot. Families should be aware that some parts of Chinatown blend into the Red Light District, so it's worth planning your route if you're walking with children in the evening. We booked a canal view room, and the views were fantastic. The room was spotlessly clean, modern, and comfortable. One feature we absolutely loved was the digital room control system. From a single panel, we could control the lights, air conditioning, privacy settings, housekeeping requests, and even open and close the curtains without leaving the bed. It's a small touch that really adds to the luxury experience. Complimentary bottled water was provided on our first day, which was a nice welcome after travelling. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and approachable. Everyone we spoke to had excellent English, making communication effortless. The concierge team deserves special mention as they were knowledgeable, helpful, and happy to share local recommendations and advice. Another thoughtful perk was the complimentary umbrella service, allowing guests to borrow umbrellas free of charge for up to 48 hours, which is very useful in Amsterdam's unpredictable weather. Breakfast offered an impressive variety of hot and cold options, fresh pastries, fruit, cereals, breads, cheeses, and cooked breakfast items. We found that the busiest period was between 9:00am and 10:00am, so arriving earlier or later makes for a more relaxed experience. Breakfast is served until 11:00am, which is great if you enjoy a slower start to the day. The wellness facilities were excellent, with a swimming pool and sauna available until 10:00pm. The only minor downside is that they are located at the opposite side of the building from some rooms, so it can feel like a bit of a trek, but once there, the facilities are well worth the walk. What truly makes this hotel special is its history. Opened in 1890, the hotel has welcomed famous guests including Louis Armstrong, Mata Hari, and Christian Dior over the years. It is also famous for the two original houses that remain built into the hotel's façade today. The owners refused to sell their properties during construction, so the architect simply built the hotel around them, creating one of Amsterdam's most fascinating architectural stories. Combining history, comfort, modern technology, and an unbeatable location, Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam offers a memorable stay for both couples and families. Waking up to canal views and ending the day watching the city lights from such an iconic landmark made our Amsterdam trip even more special. We would happily stay here again. ✨

Large and clean rooms, ıt was a great stay!

This hotel is in an awesome location and has history worthy of a book. The place is beautiful. There are a couple oddities with the bathroom, but ones that you just need to ge used to. Friendly, helpful staff and the breakfast is awesome!

It was amazing and the people who work there are really sweet. It was een amazing and beautiful experience. The view was beautiful. The room was amazing and the beds were really soft. The pool was really fun. And the breakfast was so so yummy.

We had such a great experience. It was a little rough when we got here because somehow our reservation was not found due to the computer system glitching with our reservation. Fortunately we met with Saikat and Morena at the check-in desk. Saikat worked diligently to find our reservation. He set us up in the same room that we had booked a junior suite he made sure that we had a fantastic view right across the street from Grand Central Station. The location is perfect every day we walked a different direction and saw so many new things. I’m so grateful for the two mention above that checked us in and made this all possible. We had the best service. We also have been traveling for two weeks through Europe and this is the best shower bathroom and space we have had yet in our junior suite. Be prepared, all of the hotels here have a lot of stairs up and down because they converted old houses and mansions into hotels, but it gives it a lot of character and we have had a great time.
