Like Nikkei, ISSEI is the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cultures. You can see examples of that combined energy in every aspect of our restaurant, from the food to the bold Peruvian-style architecture with Japanese design elements. The result is a free-flowing, natural space with simplistic shapes and harmony reminiscent of a home built from the land and sea.

A Flawless Evening at ISSEI
My partner and I had a truly delightful dinner at ISSEI. The combination of the vibrant atmosphere and the culinary execution made for an unforgettable night.
We opted for two dishes that were both executed to perfection:
• The Octopus with Rocoto & Chilli Sauce: The texture was spot on—tender and charred just right—while the sauce provided a sophisticated, spicy depth.
• The Braised Beef Cheeks: This was the definition of melt-in-your-mouth excellence, paired beautifully with a silky sweet potato cream that balanced the richness of the beef.
A special mention must go to our server, Rachel. Her expertise and genuine warmth elevated the entire experience. She was attentive without being intrusive and provided the kind of professional service that truly sets a restaurant apart.
If you are looking for exceptional food paired with top-notch hospitality, ISSEI is a must-visit.

Discover a fusion of Japanese & Peruvian cuisines at ISSEI Tallinn
The Japanese and Peruvians love fresh fish, and this is the foundation of Nikkei cuisine. Just as the Japanese traversed the sea to work on the land, our cuisine is inspired by a blend of ingredients from the ocean and those grown in the Peruvian earth.
