Situated at the crossroads of Turkey`s political and economic heartlands, Istanbul, the economic capital of Turkey, and Ankara, Sakarya boasts a highly strategic location. Natural beauty, the river that creeps through the town, and the Sapanca Lake that invites small fishing boats and picnickers, makes it the ideal location for nature travelers. Having experienced unprecedented growth over the last 10 years, many multinational corporations and manufacturing operations have opened up shop across Sakarya and its 11 industrial zones, making it a prime destination for business travelers.
