The MV Kudhima, a 50-meter steel cargo ship, was intentionally sunk in 1988 in South Ari Atoll, Maldives, to create an artificial reef. It's a top dive site, attracting stonefish, nudibranchs, shrimps, crabs, jackfish, and batfish.
Rangali Madivaru in the South Ari Marine Protected Area is a cleaning station where manta rays gather from November to April. They swim above coral bommies to be cleaned by wrasses and small reef fish, creating a stunning natural display.
