Free Trade Hall
The Grade II*-listed Free Trade Hall we now call home is steeped in a long history of culture and conflict, from its inception on the site of the Peterloo Massacre to its bombing in the Manchester Blitz. Before we transformed the building in 2004, it was a venue for political speeches and performances from the likes of Charles Dickens and Winston Churchill, and home to the iconic Hallé Orchestra.
