We were very happy with our stay at the Radisson Blu. To start with, the location is great – near the waterfront and only a short 5-min walk to the train station and 10-min walk into the center of town. Lots of shops and places to eat at the train station, and also a decent pizzeria just across the alleyway. The folks at reception were always friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice, quite spacious and bright with big windows with views to the mountains. Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Lots of English programming on the TV and the Wifi connection was good and fast. The gym was pretty decent, a bit on the small side but with a good range of cardio gear, machine weights, and free weights. We had several great workouts there. The breakfast buffet was chaotic, as we were there at the same time as a couple of big Chinese bus tours – had to wait a long time for a table and when we did get in, the buffet line had been well-pillaged. We just went over to the train station for breakfast on the following mornings. Also, be warned that you will pay an exorbitant amount for parking in the hotel parking garage. We were a bit surprised at this, how they price-gouge their valued guests! Anyway, overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
