This is Bodø's most stylish hotel, with a hint of 70s' brutalist architecture - and a top floor bar with a magnificent view.
I love this hotel and it's location next to the harbor. Everything in Bodø is in walking distance from the hotel. The staff are courteous and helpful and the facilities are well looked after. Better still, there's a bowling alley in the basement!
We werent expecting anything special and were just stopping for the night on our way from Paris to small airports in Lofoten . And were pleasantly surprised at this Hotel in this comparatively small town . The room was comfortable , the facilities were good , the staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good in pleasant surroundings
I had the pleasure of interacting with a lot of the staff, who made my stay extremely pleasant. Last night, I went up to the bar to have a drink. The bartenders were knowledgeable, honest, and great fun to chat to! I had to take a few late night calls overseas, and headed down to the lobby to let my partner sleep. The young guy working night shift came over to offer me water, and when I said yes he practically ran to get it for me! We ended up having a super long conversation where he helped me practice my Norwegian. Super pleasant! This morning, I found myself caught in meetings and unable to make it in time for breakfast. I went down to see if I could grab any of the leftovers, and was greeted by a trainee named George and his trainer (who I believe was named Monica, she was Norwegian, with reddish brown hair). I informed them of my situation and with a smile, they told me to have a seat, made me a coffee, and sent me off with a fresh omelette. These two truly made my day! Management, if you’re reading this, you have amazing staff. I’ve worked in hotels and know people are quick to complain, but hope you give these folks the recognition (& pay) they deserve!
This is my second time staying at the Radisson. It’s a really neat hotel Century located in Bodo. It’s walking distance to many attractions restaurants bars, and coffee shops. There’s a couple malls nearby for a nice shopping too. A few things to note is that the hotel does not have a gym and the rooms are very small. I’ve stayed in other hotels in the area and it appears to be the same. Aside from this, I will stay here again. Also, it’s a five minute drive to the airport.
