Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Bergen, A Verified Net Zero Hotel - TripAdvisor traveler rating

If you want a hotel that allows you to walk to almost every major site in Bergen, this is absolutely the place to book. A major plus for eco-conscious travelers is its status as a Verified Net Zero Hotel operating on 100% renewable energy. What I like: 1 - Perfect Location: You are located directly on the historic Bryggen wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Step outside and you are right by the colorful wooden buildings, local bakeries, shops, and the famous Fish Market. It’s also incredibly convenient for cruise passengers walking to or from the port. 2 - Charming Exterior & Modern Interior: I loved that the hotel’s architecture mirrors the traditional style of the historic wharf instead of being a generic block. Inside, the lobby is grand, welcoming, and thoroughly modern. 3 - Outstanding Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast layout at the hotel is phenomenal. There is a wide variety of local Nordic items, fresh pastries, fruits, and hot dishes that cater to all tastes. 4 - On-Site Dining: Eating at 26 North Restaurant & Social Club was a treat. They focus on fresh, local Norwegian ingredients and serve excellent fish dishes. Things to Keep in Mind: 1 - Varying Room Sizes: Standard rooms can run slightly on the compact side. If you like extra space or want a room with high, angled architectural ceilings, consider upgrading to a premium room.

Great environment easy and simple. Room and breakfast were excellent. The staff were friendly, supportive and helpful in particular Sjervin, Simon and Markus.

Nice hotel conveniently located in Bergen. Rooms and hotel are clean and well maintained. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good - excellent fish soup!

Highly recommend the Radison Blu. It is a perfect location to experience Bergen. right in the harbor with lots of shops, bakeries and food. Must do hotel breakfast buffet. Outside matches street decor; inside a luxurious hotel.
