A lovely meal...

We were staying at the Art 'otel and we had a problem with our room, which resulted in some compensation being credited to our hotel account. We went to Solaya for a cocktail and stayed for an early dinner. Between 5.30 and 6.30 pm, they offer a three-course dinner for £35. It's been a while since we ate at a Michelin-starred restaurant, as we have left hungry in the past! This was not the case with Solaya. The food was tasty and very well executed. The creme brulee was the best one I've ever had and the chocolate sorbet was dark and delicious. However, it was the staff that stood out. All of them had personalities within the confines of service and were professional but fun and friendly...quite a hard balance to achieve. They all communicated really well with each other and seemed happy to be in post.
