"The Rebirth of a Legendary Hotel"

I stayed at this hotel just four days after its reopening for six nights. Located near Xujiahui and right next to Metro Line 1 (Exit 7), it is perfectly positioned. My Superior King room was surprisingly spacious for the price in the CBD. However, there was an issue with the air conditioning which had a temperature adjustment problem. After reporting it, the manager swiftly upgraded me to a Superior Deluxe Theme King Room with a unique spinning bicycle. The new room offered breathtaking city views. While the fresh towels shed lint a lot, they are clearly new cotton towels. Breakfast is à la carte. The swimming pool is a bit smaller compared to newer hotels. Rooms have umbrellas and safes, but no irons. Plenty of bottled water is provided. It is not flawless, but for ¥700+ a night with breakfast and pool access, it is an excellent value.

We stayed in 6 hotels and also a cruise ship,This hotel exceeded them all by far,proffesional service to a very high standard,rooms excellent,breakfast best we have had in our worldly visits,clean to perfection,surrounding on the door step,it goes on, You will not be disappointed here.

Two commendable points to note. Firstly they have managed to stick to standards for an old hotel. Secondly, it is connected to the underground rails which is a boon as it leads to important stations. These 2 factors justify the reason of choice. XuJiaHui district is also brimming with activity which can be reached in 15 mins on foot. Lastly, a huge thank you to the housekeeping which did a fantastic job.

Stayed in this Hotel as part of our Wendy Wu tour. This hotel has been the best in all of China. Staff are very helpful and friendly and a lot speak English. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. It’s right next door to a subway station, if you get time to explore some of the city. The breakfast setup is out of this world. Many many different bays with all types of food. Definitely recommend this hotel.

This is an excellent hotel with very comfortable rooms. The rooms were spotless and so was the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding with so many choices from Asian to European cuisine, everything was on offer for all guests.
