Our room, upon checkin was a mess!
We only had scalding hot water in the shower & sink. The front desk fix was to go and shower in a room near the front desk, not an option! Disturbingly enough, other than changing our rooms, they did not make any amends for the inefficiency, no partial refund, no upgrade, nothing!
Another issue was the TV kept turning on, on its own. The blame was placed on Samsung, but the property, we were told had been open for at least 1 month, so kinks should be worked out. Also, the air conditioning did not work in our original room.
The front desk staff were hospitable, but never once did the manager approach us to apologize or offer any sort of credit. The breakfast buffet was good. The coconut punch was excellent.
IF you ever ask the reception desk to book you a taxi, remember 2 things:
Ask the cost - a ride to the hermitage beach cost us €145! (One way!)
If the front desk is training a new hire or answering phone calls & is not attentive to your checkout & your taxi is booked for precisely 09:00 & your checkout is delayed, no fault of your own...please be aware, the taxi starts charging you to wait!
Also far too much smoking, they should have specific, designated areas!
