"Great hotel"

Very good location,nice presentable room with very good beds. Breakfast very good,good value and a big selection. Nice and helpful starf. Must add that the "decorator" should brush up on his english grammer pr not as the signs for the floor when exiting líft are so wrong for the first 2 floors,gave us a laugh each time.

I stayed for a week and had a great time. The location is excellent, very close to the city centre, all the attractions, and the tram stop / train station to go places. The staff at the reception were always super helpful, especially Sandra. The interior of the hotel was quite interesting, as it used to be a shopping centre. The rooms were painted a bit too bright for my taste, but I didn’t mind it that much. Note that some of the rooms face into the atrium, inside the building, they don’t have windows looking outside. Those can be a bit depressing. But I asked to be moved and got a very nice room with high ceilings and huge window facing the fishmarket/Bryggen/the mountain. The view was fabulous and the room was quite big. The bed was comfy, air conditioning was working just fine. Some older reviews mention noise from a nearby night club. That night club is no longer there. It was perfectly quiet during my stay, just regular street noise. The breakfast was good and had enough variety. The price was very adequate for the experience and for the location. Overall I really enjoyed it and would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Beautiful view from the area outside my room"

The hotel is in a great location, near shops, restaurants and the famous fish market. It was beautiful inside, with high ceilings and this decorative wine storage area that was massive and stunning. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast very good. Apparently this is a popular hotel for parties/events and while there was one when I was there, it did not impact my stay in a negative way. The bathroom was a little difficult to maneuver in but the comfort of the room and the deck/view outside made it worthwhile. I would definitely stay here again.

"Centrally located with great harbour views"

Centrally located hotel with great harbour views overlooking historic Bryggen & adjacent to the Mathallen fish markets, cruise tours and ferries. Easy walking distance to Floyen Funicular and Central Tram Station. Architecturally designed but with a couple of impracticalities. Not enough lighting and the shower floor gets quite wet as the shower screen doesn’t fully cover the area. There was no safe or kettle in our room. Breakfast had plenty of variety in a nice relaxed setting. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful.

"Superb hotel"

Expected a single room but was upgraded to family room. Very comfortable bed. Coffee maker and fridge. Breakfasts were varied and tasty. Polite and helpful staff on reception, restaurant and cleaning. Best location near harbour, Bryggen and Floibannen. Lots of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. Went on day trip to Flåm railway with cruise on Fjord. Pick up from hotel nearby, as were transfers.
