The hotel was a great location to walk to and from York city centre. The staff at reception were helpful at check in and provided answers to all questions. The rooms were a good size, in very good condition with a well designed shower. The large posters and pictures illustrated various sights throughout York as inspiration. Again staff at the time of check out were also very pleasant and helpful. We would recommend this hotel for a stay in York.

This is our 2nd stay here in in 4 months. It's in an excellent location being just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. The rooms are lovely. They even have a fridge and a safe. The bed was incredibly comfy. The bathroom had a large walk in shower and had shampoo, conditioner, body wash and had wash liquid and body lotion was also provided by the sink. Everything was spotlessly clean. The cleaning ladies were lovely. Only 1 teeny tiny draw back.....although there's plenty of hanging space, there's no drawer for putting anything in. We had to keep tops/underwear etc in the suitcase. There's loads of space to put in a small set of drawers..... A big shout out to JEN, ANNA + KIERA on reception who helped us with one or two 'technical issues!' Jen, as ever was super friendly and always ready and available to advise. All in all a brilliant stay. We'll definitely be back soon.

Can not fault the hotel, rooms where clean and well equipped and the staff where friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was extremely tasty with plenty of choice and all freshly prepared.

Great location ten minute walk to York and shops/attractions. We managed to get onsite parking although a very small and tight carpark. Checked in online and was given a QR code to scan on arrival, was unsure how to do this when checking in but there was a helpful lady in reception area doing this for guests so was checked in within minutes of arrival. Room a good size with a great view of the river. Everything you need is in the room including toiletries/ hairdryer/ iron. The bed - wow it was huge and so comfy, probably the best bed ive slept in on a break away. Could not comment on breakfast as we went into York for this. Will defo be back here for our next visits to York.

I had booked two twin bed rooms for my wife and I, plus friends. Although I had specified twin beds for both rooms, my room had a double bed while the other room was as specified. The TV in my room did not work, and a dispenser in the bathroom was empty. Both problems were dealt with promptly. The hotel was quiet, very clean and comfortable; all staff were polite and went out of their way to be helpful. Altogether, a very pleasant stay.
