Jorja was the best barmaid ever - GIVE a promotion. She made sure we had fantastic time! She was very attentive and had a great attitude.
Well presented hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient for all city centre attractions
This was a great hotel to book! For the price it was beyond what I expected. The staff were hospitable and so friendly. They helped us with everything we needed. At one point we were cold so they sorted out the heating system for us and provided us with an extra oil heater. The location was great as it’s a 5 minute walk to the city centre and it is easy to walk back even after a long day out! We were lucky with parking as there was 1 space left. You pay on exit so can keep your car there for several days if you are planning to walk around everywhere. It’s £20 for 24 hours and on the day you check out you can keep your car there up until the 24 hours run out. Everything about the hotel was great, very clean, amazing view of the river + minister (room 807) and very spacious.
A good hotel to stay at in York, great location with easy access to the shops and minster. Nice room with great views across the river and of the minster.
Lovely staff, clean rooms, very central location. What more do you want? Was a little worried on booking that the hotel wasn’t 4 star (it’s only 3). But nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Ok so there’s no room service and I had to go to reception to get the complimentary dental kit, but so what? The hotel is also huge. We found a fitness room nestled on the first floor and the breakfast was great if a little expensive in my opinion but for convenience it was worth it. Shout out to the chef for making nice scrambled eggs! Also to the reception team who were clearly understaffed but were polite and cheerful. Only quibble was the view but understand not every room ca face the minster.
