Really great nostalgic historical athmosphere. Super professional and friendly service. The breakfast buffet was great - all you can wish with high quality. Dinner in the cellar trattoria was so tadty and perfect. Essily diservers this 5 star rating. How ever there is still room for improvement in room 750 that is superior level there is no were to hang your towel or bathroab to fresh them but you need to keep them in the damp and moisty shower room. Also somwhere to hang your coat would be nice. This is so common inconvinience in many hotels. I wonder if the interior decoraters or hotel mansgers themselves ever actually stay over night or prferably several to understand how their rooms function in real life?

The location of hotel is very good, within walking distance of the train station and major attractions such as museums and the Christmas market. You can feel the continuity of traditions in hotel at every step, but there are also modern amenities. The staff was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the stay very much.

The location of the hotel is very central. The only downside in the location is the fact the park outside the hotel is a hot spot for drug sellers (they don't bother other people, though?). The hotel itself is one of the oldest in Finland and its Art Deco interiors are really nice. The rooms are ok, nothing really special and there is no air condition (which may be a problem in summer). The breakfast is excellent as is the service in general. Highly recommended, but maybe not during the hottest days in summer.

Visiting from Ireland. The hotel is in a nice, quiet, setting with views of the river. It has an Art Deco feel and the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are generously sized, and there is ample choice at breakfast. I spent four days and thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel, and in Tampere. I would stay here again.
