The location of hotel is very good, within walking distance of the train station and major attractions such as museums and the Christmas market. You can feel the continuity of traditions in hotel at every step, but there are also modern amenities. The staff was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the stay very much.

The location of the hotel is very central. The only downside in the location is the fact the park outside the hotel is a hot spot for drug sellers (they don't bother other people, though?). The hotel itself is one of the oldest in Finland and its Art Deco interiors are really nice. The rooms are ok, nothing really special and there is no air condition (which may be a problem in summer). The breakfast is excellent as is the service in general. Highly recommended, but maybe not during the hottest days in summer.

Visiting from Ireland. The hotel is in a nice, quiet, setting with views of the river. It has an Art Deco feel and the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are generously sized, and there is ample choice at breakfast. I spent four days and thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel, and in Tampere. I would stay here again.

Beautiful historic hotel. The location was great! The best thing about the hotel was the restaurant. Although the menu is the exact same as every other hotel we stayed at in Finland, the food was the most delicious at this hotel. (Tip, charge the meal to your room to earn Radisson points. We didn't learn this until later.)
