We came for a long weekend ski break. The hotel is only 2 hours from Oslo. The hotel itself is ski-in and ski-out. All food options are a short walk away unless you eat in the hotel. We managed 5 days of skiing with a 4 night stay. Perfect. And….the people in the hotel are super friendly. The service in the hotel and the resort beats the service we get in the Alps, hands down. The food everywhere up go is great value and super tasty. I cannot fault our trip.

I last reviewed this hotel in January 2024 and was very happy to return in January 2025, our third stay. The hotel is still just as beautiful as ever and we had a wonderful time this time. This time to accommodate our growing family, we had a much bigger and luxurious room with a lounge/dining area and two bedrooms and bathrooms which was beautiful and perfect for us. We enjoyed many of the facilities, including the bowling and the Taco Buffet, which had replaced the hot dogs. We really enjoyed going to Brasserie T again. The menu had changed and had more options. Although we really loved the food last time, the new menu will suit more people and therefore I understand why they made that change. We also really loved the new lounge bar area, which makes excellent use of a quiet but large corridor. The spa is still wonderful and our children loved the huge pool area. We also took the opportunity to visit the spa at the Ski Star Lodge - another hotel on the other side of the mountain. One thing that that spa had is an inside outside pool, which we thought was really lovely. It would be absolutely incredible if the Radisson could expand the pool/spa complex to include something like that as it was simply magical swimming outside with the snow around you. All in all another fantastic trip and we look forward to returning again.

This was our third stay at the resort and the first booking not made on the Rad app. But everything worked perfectly well. As a Norwegian living abroad it is strange to stay at a big resort in Norway with no Norwegian staff and very few Norwegian guests, but we loved everything we experienced. Very friendly and helpful staff too.

Excellent stay in Trysil. We got a large room compared to other hotels. Good beds gave sleeping quality, and with few guests, the hotel vas very quiet. Also, the breakfast was very good !
