My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights, and would definitely return.
As soon as you step through the door the hotel oozes with class with its marble finishings.
Check-in was seamless. We arrived around midday and were delighted that our room was ready and waiting for us.
The hotel room itself was pretty dated. The decor looked a little tired, but it was clean, comfortable, and had a kitchenette which we didn’t expect! We just stayed in a standard room with courtyard view as we were really just using it as a base. Next time, we would get a sea view- not just for the view alone, but what we didn’t realise was that there is a campsite behind the hotel. The people staying at the campsite were rather loud and had music booming until almost midnight on one occasion.
We opted for breakfast included only as we were busy exploring during the daytime. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options including all the components to make a traditional full english, a cold meat and cheese section, an omelette station, a fruits & cereals section, and a pastry section. Our breakfast would keep us full right up until the evening.
As the restaurants at the hotel cost a little more, there are plenty of other places to go within close proximity. Just across the road from the hotel is a place called ‘Apples Eye’. The menu is extensive, and the view is lovely. Very reasonable prices and we never had a bad meal there.
There are 4 buses that stop outside the hotel and take you to various parts of the island. We used the bus to get to Valletta. It cost €2 each for a return and took about 35 minutes. Very effortless travel.
I would recommend sticking around the hotel between 1830 and 1930 as it’s happy hour at the main bar (we love a bargain!). I have uploaded a copy of the happy hour menu that was on whilst we were there to give an idea of prices. Whilst you are at the bar, I would also absolutely recommend getting their tandoori chicken kebab, it’s delicious.
Other than our room being dated, I do not have a bad word to say about this hotel. Wonderful, hardworking staff and beautiful location 5*
