Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote - TripAdvisor traveler rating

We have just returned from an 11 night stay at this hotel, which was our second visit this year. Whilst our previous visit was very enjoyable, this occasion was even better. The hotel is located on the sea front promenade, although access during our stay was restricted due to excavations taking place we understood was ton to accommodate the laying of drains, which has affected a number of other hotels in Teguise. We had a Sea View Junior-suite on the third floor, with a large balcony equipped with table and chairs, plus two sun loungers all of which suited us perfectly. Our super-king bed (Two queens linked together) was superbly comfortable, the more so as we had a choice of pillows. We chose the Crown Service, which provides a courtesy limo from the airport and return, together with access to the airports VIP lounge. Crown also allows for the drinks fridge to be restocked daily, access to the Maar pool cafe and reserved sun loungers with mattresses at the usually tranquil lower pool, very handy for the Maar café. We booked HB, which with hindsight was unnecessary, as the food in the Maar (1100 to 1800) was usually more than enough for us, especially the fish of the day and the garlic prawns, which were without doubt the best we have ever tasted in Europe. None the less, when we did have dinner in the restaurant, the range of food was excellent, with something for everyone, including cooking stations serving fresh meat and fish. On those occasions that we did venture out for dinner, we found plenty of restaurant and bar choice nearby including the popular and lively Square (Pueblo Marinero) just a 10 minute walk, The hotel itself is kept spotlessly clean, whilst the staff are all unfailingly efficient and polite, including the Customer Service Team managed by Paul, the restaurant and bar staff, the chamber maids and cleaners, to the pool attendants. We especially appreciated the team in the Maar, including Meloney, Miguel, Sebastian and two great chefs. This is a lovely hotel, but there are some aspects that could be looked at to improve guest experience. Firstly, the lighting in the bathroom is inadequate, particularly so when my wife was trying to apply her make-up. Secondly, the evening entertainment was typical of the Canaries, and the quality varied considerably, This may be down to personal preference, but by far the best was provided by the singer and dancer Jose, a true entertainer, who engaged with the entire audience throughout his performance.. As the evening weather was mostly warm, much of the entertainment was outside, but when the weather changed this was switched inside, though not in the marquee, but in the bar area. The problem here is that there are two large TV screens inevitably showing football throughout the hour or so of the entertainment (21:30 to 22:30), which didn’t just distract the audience, but also served to disrespect the entertainers. Overall the Radisson Blu is an excellent holiday choice, with many returning guests including us, which speaks for itself. ,We will be back in June and are looking forward to it, B&B plus Crown service and an illuminated mirror!!!

Overall a lovely experience at the Radisson Blu Costa Tequise, all the staff were so nice and welcoming! Rooms spotless, buffet breakfast so nice and a lot of variety, could always get a dunbec at the pool . My only critique would be our bathroom towels in our room, they were a little worn looking , one had a small hole but that wouldn’t stop me coming back here! It was a great hotel!!

Another great week relaxing at this hotel. Breakfast and evening buffets as varied, tasty and excellent as always. Rooms cleaned to a high standard and bed so comfy. Always sun loungers available. The resort is so clean and you always see people and robots cleaning day and night - we loved seeing the new ones as we had only previously seen the pool one we called Wall-E. Staff as responsive as ever and a special mention to Nadia and Maxwell at the bar - always happy and chatty and of course Nati in the restaurant. We had a great week and will be back next year.

My wife and I stayed here on Half Board basis in an Ocean Front Suite with Sea View, for 7 nights. The hotel is spotlessly clean, superbly located, and the food is great. Every evening, they serve a buffet, which is based on one part of the world, and they try to vary it as much as possible. The staff are fabulous, the beds are comfortable, and the pools were a perfect temperature (despite many reviews lower down). We had a fabulous time, and despite the opinion of the most recent reviewer, there is absolutely no way that this place deserves to be marked down a star because of the digger that was outside throughout our stay. It did not, nor could not spoil our stay in any way and it was creating improvements for future guests anyway. Highly Recommended
