"Nice hotel, great location"

Stayed there two nights, and it was a pleasant stay. At arrival I received an upgrade to a Premium room on a high floor with a very nice view because of my Radisson membership (see photo). The hotel has a very good location, close to the royal castle. Very nice room, comfortable bed, breakfast was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo and would happily give them 5 stars! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed at check-in and pleasantly surprised to find that we had been given a free room upgrade because my fiancé emailed them saying it was my birthday, such a thoughtful gesture from the hotel. When we got to our room, it was absolutely lovely, with a beautiful view of the sea. In the room, we found a plate full of little cakes and a handwritten note from the hotel manager, who also mentioned that there was a postcard we could send for free. I sent it to my parents, and they received it, which was such a personal and charming touch that really made us feel special. Breakfast on the first morning (Sunday) was unfortunately a bit chaotic. It was very busy, and the staff seemed slightly overwhelmed. We struggled to find a table and, when we sat at one for four people (as it was the only one free), a staff member seemed a bit annoyed that we were only two. We explained politely that no other tables were available, and that was the end of it. The food selection was decent, but it could use a few more sweet options, perhaps larger croissants or pastries, as there were only small pains au chocolat. However, the breakfast experience on Monday was much better, much calmer, better organised, and more enjoyable overall. It might just be worth improving the management of the busy Sunday breakfast rush. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening, and it was excellent. Great food quality, lovely ambience, and attentive service. The cocktails were delicious, so we’d definitely recommend dining or having a drink there. The checkout process was smooth, and although our room wasn’t tidied after the first night, as soon as we mentioned it to reception, the housekeeping team came immediately and had it all sorted within 10 minutes, which was very efficient. They also stored our luggage on our last day while we explored the city, which was a great help. We appreciated the free water and sweets available at the entrance, another small but thoughtful detail that made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The thoughtful birthday touches, the comfortable room, and the friendly service (especially at reception) made our stay really special. We’d definitely recommend staying there!

Whenever I have to stay in a hotel, in Oslo, my preference goes to this Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel. In particular I love it for: its position, great breakfast and great swimming pool !

"The Best Gluten and Lactose Free selection!"

Wow - the best Gluten Free breakfast selection I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I’ve stayed at some lovely hotels across the world, but have never seen a separate Gluten Free toaster! They have GF bread, rolls, granola, cookies, muffins, cake, etc. The Lactose Free section was also impressive for those that need it. Thank you once again for catering so well to those with allergies!😊
