We recently spent six nights at the Radisson Blu Nydalen during the ongoing strike in the Norwegian hospitality industry. The hotel was at full capacity over the weekend due to the Soccer Cup Final and the Oslo Marathon. Despite a significantly reduced staff, the entire team, led by General Manager Kristine, delivered a performance that was second to none. We experienced hospitality at its finest. Even with the shortage of personnel, the service remained flawless. Throughout the hotel, you could feel the team’s dedication to ensuring every guest had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was exceptional as well; the remaining small crew, including the General Manager herself, went above and beyond to ensure no guest had to compromise. What impressed us most was the positive energy of the team. Every staff member—Kristina included—always had a smile on their face and maintained a calm professionalism that is far from a matter of course in such an exceptional situation. A huge thank you to Kristine and the entire crew! You have truly demonstrated the power of teamwork, expertly managed organization, and a genuine passion for hospitality. We look forward to returning soon.
The location was great, there is all kind of public transport around, shops and the area around was safe and quiet!
This hotel is located in a new neighborhood between the city center and the forested hills surrounding the city , so you can be in downtown in less than 10 minutes riding the subway or you can explore the forest and lakes taking a bus, you’ll find both just outside the hotel , also you have the 24hours bus to the city center outside the hotel. There is a small mall at the doorstep and also a much bigger one five minutes walk . Attention from the hotel staff were flawless. My room was a huge corner room facing the river , with lots of natural light , the bathroom was rather small compered to the room , the bed was harder than expected but still very comfortable . Maybe because is not right in the city center in my opinion is perhaps the best value for money in Oslo
