"Great service from Lucy Nduati"

Brunch was great. My family was really happy visiting Radisson for the first time and we received the best service ever from Lucy Nduati the supervisor. Her great service and warm welcome is commendable.

"Excellent stay at a fine hotel."

Typically, I stay at AirBnB's whilst in Nairobi, but following a break in and robbery, I switched to the safety and security of a reputable hotel. Even before reaching reception, I was made welcome from the first minute by the excellent security staff from BM Security. Once through security screening, the check-in process was quick and we were taken to our room. The hotel is light and airy with excellent amenities and the local area traffic is quiet - a blessing in Nairobi! Our Superior room was well equipped and fine for our needs but, if funds permit, guests staying for long periods would do well to consider one of the two-room suites on the back side of the hotel; it will certainly be our choice when we visit next. Why the back side? Well, as has been stated by previous reviewers, some areas of the hotel are prone to noise. In particular, if you choose a room facing inwards toward the pool and bar, you will have noise from swimming (particularly at the weekend) and from the very good evening entertainment. That said, the music doesn't last until the early hours and I found the balcony doors to be fairly good sound blockers. On the front side of the hotel, we were sometimes disturbed by early morning deliveries but frankly we found the slamming of room doors and the movement of carts near the service lift a bit more disturbing, particularly in the area adjacent to the atrium where the floors are tiled instead of carpeted. I'm not sure what can be done to quiet the heavy room fire doors (soft close mechanisms?) but it was an annoyance nonetheless - particulalry late at night or in the early hours - we were woken often. Despite our concerns over noise, the hotel is an excellent choice. We enjoyed the warm pool. We didn't use the gym but many others did and it looks well equipped. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the Sunday brunch is a feast. All in all, the service and hospitality is amongst the best I ever received and the staff are exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful. It is the staff that make this hotel, so kudos to hotel management for hiring and training the best. We would like to give credit to all the staff for their excellent service; they are a credit to themselves and Radisson Blu. In particular, we feel that a little extra praise needs to go the doorman, John, and Front Office manager Dorah who made us feel instantly welcome. Heartfelt thanks to Cynthia, Safine, Florence, & Effie in the restaurant, as well as Kevin in the bar- they always made us feel like VIP's and we are forever grateful. We already look forward to our next Nairobi visit and we will certainly be staying at Radisson Blu when the time comes. Thank you all.
