"Wonderful stay at Radisson Vieux Port"

We recently had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Radisson Blue Marseille Vieux Port situated in the very heart of the Old Port. Our room was very clean, goodsize with a comfortable bed and a great view overlooking part of the harbour and fortress. It was very quiet even though we could open the window to a street below. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We booked a tour through the hotel concierge service for a day trip to Cassis which was absolutely wonderful. Very well organised with a private driver, walking tour and lunch booking at a lovely restaurant overlooking the harbour. Our guide, Nass, was exceptional. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel in Marseille and the wonderful tour guide.

We have just returned from a stay at Radisson Blu Marseille Old Port and had a wonderful time. The room was exceptional (we were upgraded to a suite with a brilliant balcony and view), with very comfortable large bed and lounge area. Super stylish hotel and the pool was very relaxing too (no annoying music playing). The staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that, but would certainly recommend to anyone wanting a stylish stay in the beautiful and bustling Old Port area.

It's located right in the centre of the most happening and beautiful part of the city. Have bustops right in front of it. From the roof top poolside you can get amazing views of the fort and Pharos palace (have posted pictures) I stayed in a standard room, that was decent in size. You can cast your device to the tv, so if you have to sit in the room (should not be the case for most!) need not worry of entertainment . The hotel staff were quite friendly . For that matter people in Marseille were generally more pleasant and more willing to smile than in many other big Eu cities. I had arrived at 8 am while my check in time was 3 pm. I had not even bothered to ask him for early check in, was hoping park my luggage and head out for breakfast. But the gentleman at the reception offered to try for an early check in . However no rooms were available at that time ,but he asked me to come by 10 am and assured he will give me the room. This was quite unusual to be offered so early check in without requesting although I am not a Radiason club member. Quite different from some other big hotel chains that allow you early check in for 100 $ fees! Breakfast options were limited, though not bad. But again it doesn't matter when you have lots of options all around you.

Stayed 3 nights at the Radisson Blu Vieux Port and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is super, right by the port, numerous restaurants and a very short walk from the metro and city center shopping area. Checkin was prompt and efficient yet friendly and I was soon in my room on the 3rd floor which faced the port. The room was spacious, the bed was enormous with crisp clean linens and very, very comfortable to sleep in. Although there was a road outside , you could not hear any street noise once the window was closed which was great, the blinds were dark too which blocked all the light out. There was a small sofa and table , the wifi worked very well and was complimentary as were 2 waters if you sign up for the Radisson rewards program. There was plenty of wardrobe and storage space , a kettle and coffee machine, a fridge and in-room safe. Everything was clean and in working order . The bathroom was pretty standard with shampoo , shower gel fixed to the wall as seems to be the way these day, no more taking home hotel soap ! The towels were soft and fluffy and of good quality. There was plenty of counter space by the sink for your toiletries, it was a good sized bathroom and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, there was great choice of everything from scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage to some delicious pastries and rolls. Also cold meets, smoked salmon and cheeses and a small kiddie section which was quite sweet. You could have a great start to your day here. You could also fill your water bottle with a choice of fizzy or still water from the water machine. The orange juice was especially good too. The location is second to none, bus 82S/83 are right outside taking you to Catalans beach and 82S will get you up to Gare St Charles in under 10 minutes if you are making a longer bus or train trip. The RTM 72 hour travel card at €10.80 is great value , you can also go to Cassis on bus 83 if you fancy a side trip to a nearby town included as well as the metro and all the other buses. The pool was perfect for a dip at the end of the day and not so busy as in the morning. Towels were provided and there was a gym right by the pool too should you feel the need to work out. The downstairs lobby areas were quite relaxing and tastefully decorated with plenty of places to seat down and relax if you wanted to escape your bedroom. Staff were very professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and I had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Beautiful clean hotel right on the port"

We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The front desk staff was exceptional. They got us into our room before stated check in time. The hotel was very clean, and we enjoyed dinner in the dining room/outdoor patio. The only thing I'd change were the pillows, which were way too soft/minimalist for me. I had to supplement them with a couch pillow.
