Radisson Blu Hotel, Lyon - TripAdvisor traveler rating

This is a large business hotel near a major shopping/working area in Lyon - in a more modern part of the city. My husband and I stayed here one night before departing from Lyon airport. We had traveled by train just prior and this hotel was in very close proximity to the train station. We were able to exit, go up a few escalators, through a mall and have the hotel right there. Convenient for train travelers, but not a cruddy area - as many hotels near train stations can sometimes be. This hotel was in a tower with businesses also located in the same building. Staff was lovely and loved the free Nespresso coffee machines in the lobby. It was absolutely pouring rain the night we stayed there so we ended up getting drinks in the lobby bar and eating there as well. The food was better than good for hotel restaurant food and super convenient. Rooms were on the small side but well appointed. I find the Radisson SAS chain to reliable, clean and efficient places to stay in many smaller EU cities. Staff were helpful with arranging for a car to take us to the airport despite a countrywide gasoline strike that was taking place.

Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short and only spent a night there. We had a junior suite with a fantastic view. Room was very comfortable. Some of the best things is the nice treats in reception and lobby. Breakfast was not bad. The location is great to get to from the airport . right next to the train station. We did not realize it was an hour drive from the airport so nice we could train back to the airport. Will stay there again when we go back.

Very good hotel, free water and tea in the room. Great breakfast and tram stop in front of the hotel, bus stop around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time on a Radisson Hotel.

One of the unique stays in Lyon in what is known by the locals as the ‘pencil’ hotel. It is close to part-dieu train station. It has great views as reception is on the 32nd floor and rooms start above that.

Fantastic hotel right in the centre of Lyon. Tram stop right outside and next to a large shopping centre. The views of the old town from our room on the top floor were amazing and I would recommend booking a room with a view if you have the chance
