This was our second stay at Raddisson Blu Kayseri- it is well located, very clean and the rooms are large. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The roof top bar is lovely- amazing sunset views of the city and snowy Erciyes. Good selection at breakfast - highly recommend this hotel.

Why ranking a 5* hotel with 5* in a review. As a start, I’m traveling the world for business reasons and for family holidays as well. Predominantly to the Middle east (UAE), USA (west till east) and Asia (Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City). I always stay in 5* hotels, so I think it is fair to rate/compare 5* hotels on the same level. For sure the Radisson Blu Hotel Kayseri applies to all the standards and regulations that belong to a 5* hotel. The differences are always in the details and the experience received during check-in, stay and check-out. Those details make a difference between a poor, moderate, good or excellent stay, hotel experience and rating. To start with the location. The hotel is located in the city center (6km from ASR airport) and within walking distance of the Bazaar, Castle (Kalesi), Burunguz Mosque and shopping streets on the eastside and the Forum Kayseri shopping mall on the other side. (literally 20 meters away). Plenty of shopping and restaurants -lunch/dinner- are available. The building has 13 floors for rooms. (excl. executive lounge floor and rooftop bar floor with beautiful view of the city). Check-in was quick with free valet parking. The lobby exudes a characteristic, modern and calm atmosphere. Staff at the hotel reception is friendly, businesslike but also genuinely interested in the guest. We booked with breakfast included. Our room was on the 13th floor (executive floor). Spacious with clean decoration and furniture. Carpet on the floor. King size bed, bedside tables, small desk, spacious sofa, relax chair and marble side table. Plenty of storage for clothing, safe, an -empty- fridge, iron board, coffee maker (Nespresso) and -unnecessarily- tree phones. The bathroom -tile floor- was spacious with rain shower and some amenities. Just lacking toothbrushes witch, I think should be a standard item. Bathrobes and slippers are also available. No wear and tear visible. The airco in the room was working well. The breakfast room is very nicely decorated and radiates a calm atmosphere with class. The breakfast itself is complete and adapted to local customs. So Sucuk and Pastirma are standard on the menu. An egg station is available and for the rest everything you may expect from a 5* hotel is present. Of course, the traditional Turkish tea is not missing. Waiters are polite and helpful and remove empty plates on time. The roof-top bar of the hotel provides good drinks and was decorated well. Good place to end your long day in the city with a beautiful overview of the city. Prices as expected in a 5* hotel. Only downside of the bar…., people are allowed to smoke. The same in many places in Turkey, they are allowed to smoke all over. You can smell cigarette smoke everywhere. -it wafts past you- This is also the case in restaurants. I don't know why but I have never seen so many people smoking as in Turkey. (because cigarettes are so cheap or do, they think they are "looking cool"?). Here the hotel could still make an improvement. Like said in the beginning it’s all about the details and the experience received compared to other 5* hotels in other parts of the world. For this hotel:…It’s a good 5* hotel and I can recommend it.
