I had a great time at Radisson Blu, the only thing was that the room was cold, couldn’t get the hang of the heating system! The staff could be a lil bit more enthusiastic too!!

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week in August 2025. My wife and daughter were in Gothenburg (Göteborg) for a workshop while I was there to explore the city and the Gothenburg Archipelago. The Radisson was an ideal location for all of us. Although it’s separated from central Gothenburg by the Göta älv River, a short, free ferry ride from a nearby ferry dock will take you to Stenpiren where you can walk, take trams, or buses to any point in the city itself. There is also a bus stop on the university campus adjacent to the Radisson that provides alternative access the city. The staff at the hotel were professional and welcoming. The rooms are clean and very quiet, the beds are very comfortable, the showers provide hot water with excellent pressure, and the curtains completely blocked out the light of the summer sun. We initially planned on eating elsewhere, but the breakfast offerings were impossible to resist (we ended up eating breakfast there every day). Saunas, hot tub, workout room, a rooftop lounge that offers a fantastic view of the city, and little touches throughout the hotel that appeal to science geeks (the lights in the main restaurant form a Newton’s Cradle). A wonderful location to stay in when you’re in Gothenburg.

Called them in the middle of the night because we lost the ferry. Got directed to their website and then showed up an hour later. Check in was super smooth, got a few hours sleep and then checked out again in the morning in like 30 seconds.

…..and then reality steps in. Despite the fact that Gothenburg seems to be one big road construction site, the hotel was easy to find. Parking house just across from the hotel, which includes charging facilities for EV. The reception, restaurant and service overall is excellent and close to outstanding. Everything spotless clean. Outstanding room, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Dinner menu small but delicious. Great breakfast. Did not use the wellness area. Will most definitely be back if in the area.

Just a very comfortable hotel with good rooms and very pleasant beds. The breakfast is really amazing with a touch of Swedish specialities. The staff at the reception is very welcoming and customer focused. This is one my most favorite hotels to stay at.
