We stayed here for three nights whilst attending a conference at the adjacent Aalto University. Very little not to like - rooms were clean, bright, well-maintained and comfortable; many have a waterfront view. Not all have a bathtub as well as shower, so check this point if it matters to you. Free coffee, water and snacks/fruit are available on each floor, and the buffet breakfast was both comprehensive and delicious, served until the civilised hour of 10am (and later at weekends). The bar / lounge is pleasant to sit in and has a good range of beers and wines. Location-wise the hotel is surrounded by trees and the lovely waterfront, and there is a metro station within about 7 minutes walk at Aalto University. Nearby and in the station itself you will find a few bars and restaurants although if you’re seeking sophisticated dining it’s probably best to take the metro into Helsinki centre. This is only about 15 minutes by metro (~4 euros) so although the hotel is not actually in the city, it could easily be a base for exploring Helsinki, where hotels of comparable quality would likely be much more expensive. Overall a very good experience and we wished we’d been able to stay longer - we would be very happy to return for a longer stay.
