I have stayed at this hotel before. It's kind of a normal hotel once you are inside, with very kind, helpful employees in my experience, and very pleasant, comfortable rooms. What makes the place amazing is its location on the Royal Mile. You could hardly have a more convenient place to stay in Edinburgh. You can walk everywhere and you are near everything.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff we interacted with were helpful friendly. The hotel is 5-7 minute walk from Waverly Train Station and on the Royal Mile. Close to buses, taxi’s and trams.

Roy is a very helpful person and moreover has a "can do" attitude not only with me, but every tourist i heard him talk to. He is a natural "Peoples person". Arthur - Archie

Visited Edinburgh for 2 nights and stayed in the Royal Suite. The room wasn't ready when we arrived at the hotel but that wasn't an issue, the concierge was really helpful, friendly, and even arranged for some complimentary drinks in the lounge whilst we waited for our room. We only had to wait approx 20mins so it wasn't really an inconvenience. The room was a brilliant size, the beds were extremely comfortable and given you're on the Royal Mile, surprisingly we heard little to no noise at night. An extra bed was added to our room and a travel cot as well for the little one. The hotel is located a short walk away from the train station in virtually the centre of Edinburgh so it is perfect for going almost anywhere in the city centre. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Edinburgh.

Great location and pleased with parking. Excellent staff, especially Holly at Reception and the cheery fellow from Spain! The spa was very welcome at the end of a busy day of walking. Clean, relaxed, all needs met.
