All our wedding couples and guests alike arrive through our dramatic, glazed atrium. If you choose to arrive by wedding car, you can pull right up to the front door to make a grand entrance.
Civil ceremonies
Your wedding ceremony can take place in the easily accessible Seam venue, which you can enter via the grand hotel lobby. Seam has full-length floor-to-ceiling windows and can be dressed to make the perfect space to say 'I do'.
Post-ceremony drinks reception
Find the ideal setting for your post-ceremony drinks and photos, with beautiful Durham accessible directly from the city entrance to the hotel. Our location by the river, allows you the perfect opportunity to roam and capture special photographs with the best backdrop in the North East.

All of our dining spaces are located on the ground floor with seamless access to help your day flow perfectly. Tastefully decorated to complement most color schemes, the Auger venue in particular, can be transformed to suit your own style and tastes.

Our Cultural Wedding options offer the Auger room to hire as an exclusive venue for the day, and working with our nominated partners for staffing and theming.
