Very nice hotel with a fantastic outlook over the Danube and Parliament, we booked 4 nights in a superior room, took the hotel up on an offer to upgrade to a Danube view and glad we did. Wonderful views of the Parliament and right opposite the shoes on the Danube memorial. Room was on the 6th floor and very spacious and well equipped, bathroom with a wonderful shower complete with a rain shower. The breakfast was very good and although not advertised you can order poached eggs. The Art Bistro was very good, serving food and drink from 12:00 till 23:00, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found some good restaurants nearby and a few little local pubs.
We stayed at the Park Plaza for 2 nights whilst exploring Budapest. The location is great, right next to the Danube with views of both the castle and the parliament building. Everywhere we visited was within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. The hotel is very modern and clean looking. Our room had everything we needed, it was modern, cosy and spotlessly clean. All staff around the hotel were friendly and welcoming. This hotel is excellent value for money and would highly recommend.
Jasmin – Bartender / Waitress An extraordinary young woman despite her age. She took the time to explain the entire menu to me so that I could understand everything. She carefully handled each of my orders and even suggested others to make my experience unique. She was responsible for being my translator, allowing me—whose native language is Spanish and who speaks little English—to communicate and understand people with different dialects such as English, German, and Hungarian, with whom I shared the common space at Park Plaza. She was very attentive when answering my questions, explaining about the city, where to visit, where to be more cautious, and the local schedules. For all of this, I will be eternally grateful to her. L. Levi / Front Service Desk This young man was also of great help. When he welcomed me at check-in, he clearly explained everything about the process. He took special care to go over my reservation in detail and how the hotel worked. When I asked questions, he kindly explained where and how I could dine both inside and outside the hotel. He also explained where and how I could withdraw money and the precautions I should take. I arrived late at the hotel, and he helped me understand a Hungarian app so I could order food. Once the delivery arrived, he was very attentive and helped me identify the courier and pick up my food in the hotel lobby. He NEVER left me alone, for which I will be forever grateful. Gyula – Waiter He paid special attention to the wine I ordered. I asked for a Hungarian wine with sweet notes, and he suggested one that I was able to taste and absolutely loved. It made my evening and my arrival very special. When my meal arrived, even though it wasn’t necessary, he kindly set the table with extra plates without me asking, which made the moment even more comfortable. Julius – Bartender / Waiter He always made sure that my meals were excellent. His first-class service allowed me to truly enjoy my lunches at the hotel, which were fresh, delicious, well-served, and offered with great kindness. These four people made my stay at Park Plaza truly special. They made me feel cared for and safe—but above all, they made me feel accompanied, which means a lot for someone like me who travels alone. Aside from the restaurant, the room, and the facilities overall… 10/10. The only suggestion would be to expand the continental breakfast a little. For me, the rating is 20/10 ! Congrats
When I was booking my trip I had a concern that it was hard to find a hotel that was close to everything but it seemed like everything was so spread out. I do have to admit we did a lot of walking since this place is on the Buda side and we kept going to the Pest side. I was very happy with service, I emailed them about setting up a shuttle from the airport to hotel. My flight was delayed but I got off the plane and was happy to see the driver waiting I was kinda concerned they might not wait. Then I also let the hotel know a couple days before I was leaving at that I wanted to have shuttle again to go from hotel to airport at 245am. I got down the reception area about 230 am and they were waiting for me already. I think it's a nice place but as mentioned lot of walking to places. There is a grocery store just down the road not far away and also a small shop just around the corner to get drinks. I was not impressed with the restaurant though. The breakfast was good but I feel like it was rather pricey though for what you get. I would have gone to mcdonalds but it's long ways away maybe mile and half/2 miles. I would stay here again though it's a nice hotel in good area. They do have a great view of the Parliament esp at night very neat.
I stayed with Park Plaza Hotel for the night of the National Day of Hungary. Due to its prime location right on the banks of the Danube, the river view was absolutely superb and breathtaking. I mentioned to the reservations team that I would like to capture the best of the magnificent firework from the room, and having noted of this they assigned me a high-floor corner room with an unobstructed 180° panoramic view which I was truly grateful. The iconic Parliament Building was right across the river, making the strategic location of this property second to none. The experience of witnessing the once-a-year Danube firework of such a massive scale at such a close distance yet without having to stand with the crowds for hours on the street was simply amazing and unforgettable. Trust me, it worths the price to get one of the few high-floor riverside balcony rooms for this gorgeous view - a huge plus for the property. Lastly, I wish to praise Venette for offering me a seamless, welcoming and informative checkin experience. He was extremely friendly and helpful, deserving to be a role model for many other front desk associates who seemed to be lacking in passion and enthusiasm at work from my observation.
