This hotel doesn’t look much from the outside but is almost finished a renovation to turn it into a 4 star Radisson and looks very smart and stylish inside. We got a great rate and the room was fab, with amazing views of York Minster. It’s really worth paying extra for that view and a room on a high floor. The room was clean and new, spacious and comfortable. The only extra touches that would have been nice to have were complimentary bottled water, biscuits and maybe a small fridge. I also wasn’t keen on the very dark decor; shows up all the scuffs and dust falls as soon as it’s been dusted but that’s just my taste. Breakfast was really good, buffet style which I always prefer. The staff were great too, very friendly and welcoming. It’s a great location for the Minster and Shambles, only a short walk across one of the bridges. There’s also a lot around the hotel like restaurants and shops and a lovely walk through gardens adjacent to the hotel. Parking is very secure and at £15 per night is good value. All in all a great experience and would highly recommend.

I love the radisson hotel chain and fond of the York one. Location excellent. Rooms lovely clean and comfortable beds. We had a river view which would recommend 🙂 enjoy having a coffee and looking out at the rivers comings and going 😀 👍

Well positioned in York and although dull looking on the outside very smart inside with outstanding views. Excellent service, good quality delicious breakfast, pristine. For a superior room a slightly cramped wardrobe area and, although we did not need this during our Winter stay, we would have expected a mimi fridge.

Nice weekend break in the city of York, this hotel is central and close to all of the tourist attractions and nightlife. Lots of nice restaurants around the area (The Whippet Inn across the road well worth a visit).
