Before coming to the hotel, we messaged them back & forwards over several days to sort out a hiccup caused by booking through hotels.com. To be clear, the hiccup was in no way down to the hotel itself, who were absolutely amazing at sorting it out for us. On arrival, it was only a few minutes walk from the railway station itself, and centrally located for all the shops, restaurants, & sightseeing. The reception was a genuine and warm one, & booking in was very easy. The hotel is impeccably well kept. Not all rooms have a river view (which is reflected in the price), but ours did. The room had absolutely everything you could need: a very comfy bed, big tv, kettle, tea & coffee, a safe, ironing board, wardrobe, & even a mini fridge! Equally as important was that everything was super clean. The bathroom was stunning, with a huge walk-in shower cubicle & probably the best shower we've had at any hotel tbh! The towels were lovely, fluffy, & plentiful, and all the shampoos, shower gel, etc were quality brands. Overall, we genuinely couldn't fault one single thing about this hotel, & I would have no hesitation booking it again if we're staying in Inverness.
My wife and I travelled by the Ember bus and stayed at this hotel for two nights a couple of days ago. The hotel is within a very short distance from the bus stop. This is our first time staying at this hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and how nice the hotel and staff were. The room that my wife and I had was on level 3 which although was not a particularly large room , was very clean and tidy with a lovely modern feel with a clean modern styled bathroom area. The breakfast that was included in our room rate, consisted on a fully cooked selection , yogurt , fruits, cold meats, cheese , tea, coffee and a selection of pastries and cakes. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel in the future. If you do decide to stay at this hotel there are a large selection of restaurants nearby, however if you enjoy Turkish food there is a new Turkish restaurant called Pasha at 26 Queensgate just a short walk from the hotel which has recently opened , which we visited and it served some amazing food so much so I would definitely visit that restaurant again 👌
Everything about my stay at the River Ness was amazing, lovely welcome, lovely room and an awesome breakfast. Great central location for access to all amenities. I am unsure of parking facilities as I arrived and departed by Rail.
The staff are helpful and friendly. It is a short walk to the river, market, restaurants and tour pickups. The room was super comfy!
From entering the hotel we felt really at home and well looked after. We want to say a big thank you our morning team while we had our stay. Bright happy lady and Ian was just good fun. The other staff were welcoming as we were making good use of the hotel. I left the car at home for this trip and the River Ness is very close to everything including the railway and buses. We were asked, as in many hotels, it we wanted the room tidying or to leave the room without cleaning it - to save the planet. I asked for a tidy up but not over the top. All together a nice experience just the breakfast wasn't the best.
