This hotel is very nice and clean. There’s a mini fridge and safe in the room; no smart TV, but that’s normal for china. Beds were comfortable. We had a good view of the oriental pearl radio & TV tower out our window. This hotel’s in a great location right on nanjing road; it’s a bit of a walk from the bund, but you want to walk nanjing road anyway. The bathroom was a good size, and the shower had good pressure and consistent water temperature. There was shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion (which is atypical for asia)! As with every hotel bathroom, it could use more hooks! They had an amazing breakfast, huge variety both western and asian, and good quality. Everything you could want: coffee, tea, juices, bread, toast, egg station, noodles, pastries, pancakes, salad, bacon, sausage, yogurt, everything!
Located is good for, a shopping area with department stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops. A varied breakfast is served. The club on the 30th floor offers drinks and views of the Pearl Tower. Rooms are clean, with complimentary bottled water and daily toiletries. A mix of newly renovated and unrenovated rooms are available. Elevator access is limited to the floor of your stay. During my visit, air conditioning wasn't allowed. There were windows, but if you're concerned about PM2.5, you should be careful.
We (2 adults & 1 x 12 yo) really enjoyed our stay at the Radisson. It is very well located on Nanjing Road (a large pedestrian mall with lots of eating out options and close to subway entrance and The Bund). The buffet breakfast was extensive with both Western and Eastern options. The concierge was very helpful when we were looking for more information about NBA Hoop Park and the staff promptly replied and arranged express courier to Beijing at no cost to us when I forgot some of our belongings in our hotel room (above and beyond - thank you so much ). We stayed in a junior suite and the room was well set up for the three of us (our son was in a rollaway in the living space). The rollaway mattress is very hard (nearly all beds in hotels we stayed in China were on the firm side) but the staff were very happy to provide us extra mattress topper/blanket that made it comfortable. The club access was a welcome surprise and whilst the quality of the alcohol was low it was a nice extra place to hang out in the late afternoon and read, wind down with snacks etc. We were able to communicate with staff despite us speaking no Chinese either via them speaking English and or Google translate. I enjoyed the foot massage in the hotel spa. Highly recommend
The location of this hotel is excellent, you can use the back door entrance to access Nanjing Road, the breakfast selection would have to be the best I have ever had in over 40 years of travelling. Would highly recommend
We experienced value for money @ Radisson Collection Hyland hotel in Shanghai. The staff at the hotel will exceed your expectation.
