I was nervous about booking due to the mixed Google / TripAdviser reviews I had read. Nevertheless, I booked because the location was perfect for me. I need not have worried as the rooms and staff exceeded my expectations. I booked a room with balcony - it was nice to be able to walk out onto the balcony, but be aware that the balcony is shared, so it isn't private. We had a slight issue with the door lock, but the staff handled this really well - I felt cared for by them. Indeed whenever we went in or out, the reception staff always made me feel valued and welcome. The room was very clean, and felt roomier than I had expected (given the dimensions quoted). The location was great for me - close to Trams 1 and 24 - so easy to get around. Lots of very good places to eat nearby. Generally a quiet neighbourhood. Felt very safe. Not a luxury hotel but perfectly simple!

The staff are outstanding. My friend arrived a few hours ahead of me with a terrible taxi experience, and the lady at the front desk was incredibly supportive in helping her when she arrived. Desk staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay. Thank you!

Great funky hotel by the harbour, close to museums, loads of restaurants and a 20 minute walk to the city centre. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We upgraded to a room with a balcony which was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel.
