The Holmes Hotel is lovely in so many ways, but my standout points are as follows:
- Location is super convenient - minutes from Baker St Tube, a short walk to Regent’s Park, Madame Tussaud’s, Marylebone shops and restaurants and much more.
- It’s spotlessly clean, and everywhere smells incredible! It also feels very safe if travelling solo.
- Decor is interesting and quirky but not overdone, with various Sherlock based pictures and artefacts to intrigue.
- Rooms are thoughtfully designed with robes, slippers, Molton Brown toiletries and good teabag selection and coffee pods. Beds are supremely comfy.
- Breakfast is a treat and generous too, with the option of three items from the menu. You’ll find everything from croissants and granola to eggs Benedict or smoked salmon. Recommend the avocado and eggs on sourdough. I didn’t have chance to try evening meals but breakfast set a good standard.
Check-in/out is speedy and hassle-free with the friendly and helpful team. I was also impressed with the eco-option of not having rooms serviced when staying more than one night.
Holmes is a smart choice for an enjoyable London visit - for leisure or for work.
