Great location near the train station. Anouk (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly), who checked us in, was excellent.
Our room was on the eighth floor, at the corner. Very good size, with a large desk and a king size bed. The room had a safe, but no fridge.
No train noise. In fact, no noise at all. Comfortable sleep.
The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Effective, quiet, adjustable AC/heating.
The train to Brussels takes approx half an hour. On Sunday morning, there were 4 trains an hour to BRU airport, a 20 minute journey max.
We didn’t have the hotel breakfast. We had breakfast of coffee and croissants at three of the cafés across from the station. The third morning, at De La Garre, was the best.
When I got home, I noticed that the hotel had double-charged by card for the room. I contacted them and the refund was immediately processed. But best to check your account if you stay here. (This applies to every hotel, I suppose. But this is the first time any hotel has double-charged me.)
This hotel is a good option for visiting Brussels, rather than paying city-centre prices.
We will definitely stay here again.
